As Senior Chief Commercial Officer in a high-growth startup, you are both a strategic leader and an experienced hands-on expert. You will shape and execute the commercial strategy while directly engaging with potential customers, building relationships, and driving sales. This role blends management responsibilities with a personal, active approach to business development and networking.

A key member of the company, a cutting-edge in silico startup specializing in virtual human digital twin technology. As the driving force behind our business development, you will shape our market presence and help position it as the industry leader.

Your primary mission will be to drive global revenue growth. You will design and execute impactful sales strategies, leverage your expertise and network in healthcare, life sciences, and clinical trials, and manage the full sales cycle—from strategy and prospecting to closing high-value deals. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and engage new clients: Personally identify, approach, and close high-value customer opportunities in the life sciences, biotech, or health-tech software sector.

  • Design and execute commercial strategies for rapid growth, balancing strategic planning with direct outreach and active sales effort.

  • Develop and leverage an extensive industry network to open doors, drive partnerships, and accelerate market adoption.

  • Act as the face of the company in critical commercial meetings, industry events, and client interactions.

  • Collaborate closely with product and technical teams to translate market needs into product features, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and company offerings.

  • Report directly to the CEO/Board, providing clear insight on pipeline, customer needs, and commercial roadblocks.

  • Establish processes and best practices for commercial activities that scale with company growth.

Candidate Profile:

1. Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Define the global sales strategy with executive leadership and the Board.
  • Lead prospecting efforts; identify and qualify potential clients and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Manage and stimulate the end-to-end sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities to maximize growth.

2. Negotiation & Deal Closing

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients.
  • Secure favorable terms and ensure efficient and timely deal closures.

3. Strategic Intelligence & Market Adaptation

  • Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and global market dynamics.
  • Adapt sales strategies accordingly and drive impactful marketing and communication initiatives.

4. Achieving Sales Goals

  • Define and implement an effective sales plan with clear KPIs aligned to company objectives.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy adjustments.
  • Ensure rigorous tracking of performance and adjust strategies to meet targets.

5. Product Knowledge

  • Develop a thorough understanding of ELEM’s solutions.
  • Present and promote offerings convincingly, tailoring messages to clients’ specific needs.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the CEO, CTO, and leadership team to align sales plans with product, marketing, and operational capabilities.

7. Board Representation

  • Prepare reports and present updates to the Board of Directors.
